My Mummy Is… Book Launch Party

On Wednesday 28th May, Bolton was buzzing for the launch of My Mummy Is…. The day was built around immersing families in the world of the book, celebrating the many roles of mums while keeping children busy with hands-on activities.

An interactive reading

The heart of the day was an interactive reading of My Mummy Is…. With the help of props, children were invited to guess the roles each mummy in the book played. From teacher to chef, doctor to artist, the props sparked plenty of curiosity and laughter.

Pizza making and chef's hats

Picking up the culinary thread from one of the book's characters, families teamed up to follow the pizza recipe featured in the book and make their own mini pizzas. A craft table let the little ones decorate their own chef's hats to wear for the rest of the day.

Wind-up teeth races

An unexpected favourite: wind-up chattering teeth races, which had children and adults in stitches and gave a nudge towards looking after your teeth.

Signed copies

Every family went home with a signed copy of My Mummy Is… as a souvenir of the day.
